Dance, drink, and ring in 2021!
The day we can put this year behind us is finally near. Though Chicago’s usual pulsating close to the year will, this time around, be slightly tamer, saying goodbye to 2020 will no doubt be a jubilant moment for all. As ever, Chicago is finding ways to ensure we can enjoy ourselves despite the times and the latest of these comes in the form of Julian’s NYE Drive-In House Party.
SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview is hosting another of its notorious drive-in events on Thursday 31 December and this time organizers are ensuring you can enjoy the usual midnight fireworks and New Year’s Eve celebrations all from the safety of your own car. A long list of DJs and performers will provide the entertainment as the last few hours of 2020 count down. Acts include freestyle producer Stevie B, singer Angel Clivillés, and Lamar “Hula” Mahone of the Outhere Brothers.
The stage will feature state of the art sound that will be amplified via speaker towers situated throughout the event. Jumbo screens will also ensure that everything can be seen as well as heard, regardless of where you are and who you’re with.
Doors will open at 7 pm event will start at 8 pm. Tickets cost between $175 and $225 per car and cover four passengers though kids 10 and under go free. Additional tickets can be purchased for extra passengers in there is a limit of 6 people per car and 8 people per SUV. VIP tickets guarantee a spot in the first 5 rows closer to the stage and a better view of the live performances.
Food and drink will be available at food trucks, vendors, and five different concession stands during the event but you’ll be required to wear a mask whenever outside of your vehicle and make sure to maintain six feet distance from others.
