If you’ve seen the Riot Fest 2025 lineup, you already know that mega-stars like Green Day and Blink-182 will be taking the stage.
But Riot Fest has announced an additional special guest that nobody had on their bingo card—Full House actor John Stamos.
Stamos all-in for Riot Fest ’25 after years-long internet meme campaign

Riot Fest organizers shared a humorous post on Instagram Wednesday, confirming Stamos will take the stage on Saturday, September 20, as drummer for The Beach Boys.
“Riot Fest was recently informed by Mr. John Stamos (actor, musician, icon, legend, etc.) that after over a decade of social media harassment from Riot Fest he will finally break the curse…” reads the post.
“…and has tentatively/begrudgingly agreed to attend Riot Fest on September 20, 2025, in his official capacity as drummer of the band The Beach Boys.”
The move comes after a years-long meme campaign targeting Stamos from Riot Fest organizers. It all stems from a 2013 tweet from the festival, jokingly speculating whether Stamos’ fictional band from Full House “Jessie and the Rippers” would play the festival.
In 2024, the festival displayed a life-sized butter statue of the actor, further prolonging the inside joke.

According to Riot Fest’s announcement, Stamos’s appearance comes with a list of demands from the actor himself.
The demands include that Riot Fest founder Riot Mike get a tattoo of John Stamos. Other silly demands include a John Stamos body pillow in the actor’s green room, and a Stamos-themed Riot Fest t-shirt design.
Riot Fest is returning to Chicago’s Douglass Park from September 19-21. Grab your tickets and learn more information here.
