There’s an annual tradition that serves as an end-of-summer staple for residents across Illinois—the Sandwich Fair! As one of the oldest continuing county fairs, it features live entertainment, agricultural exhibits, truck pulls, a carnival, and a variety of food options.
When does the Sandwich Fair Open?
The 137th annual Sandwich Fair opens today, Wednesday, September 3, and runs through Sunday, September 7, at the Sandwich Fairgrounds in Sandwich.
Live music
Warren Zeiders will headline the Main Stage on the infield of the track on Friday, September 5.
In addition to Warren Zeiders, you can also enjoy performances from various bands on the Ag Land Stage, including Beauty and the Beats, Drift Away, The Steve Sharp Band, and more.
Auto show
The auto show will take place on Sunday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the race track field.
Carnival
There will be an option for unlimited ride wristband specials every day of the fair except Saturday.
The prices are as follows:
- Wednesday: $25 from 3 p.m. to close
- Thursday: $30 from 1 p.m. to close
- Friday: $30 from noon to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: $30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

General admission to the Sandwich Fair
- General admission tickets, which are $10 for adults and $7 for kids ages 6 to 12,
- Children Free Day: Children 12 and younger are free on Wednesday, September 3.
- Senior Day: Individuals aged 65 and older receive admission for $7 before 5 p.m. Thursday, September 4.
- Bargain Day: Children 12 and younger are free until 5 p.m. Everyone 13 and older is admitted for $7 before 5 p.m.
- Sunday, September 7: Tickets are $7 for everyone after 3 p.m.
