1. Shore Club
The new destination spot just opened on May 21st and is located right on North Avenue beach, offering up a gorgeous patio view that’s hard to find anywhere else in the city. With fabulous unobstructed views of Lake Michigan and delicious cocktails, you’ll be transported to the Mediterranean in a flash. Alongside their delicious beachside brunch menu, there will also be a made to order crepe and omelette station this Saturday, Sunday & Memorial Day from 10 AM-2 PM. The standard brunch menu ranges from a decadent smoked salmon board to a lobster Benedict with other delicious options to choose from. The patio is first come first serve and is open from 10 AM-10 PM.

2. City Winery
Located along the famous Riverwalk, this outdoor spot is a guaranteed to be a good time no matter when you stop by. The intimate riverside location has good food, a full bar, and great wine produced at their local West Loop location. For Memorial Day, you can enjoy any number of burgers, ciders and more at this cozy-chic spot. Check out the full menu here and prepare for a rocking time. 3. Kitsch’n On Roscoe
Located in the charming Roscoe Village Neighborhood, Kitsch’n has been around since 1998 and hasn’t slowed down since. The decor is out of this world cool and follows a hip 70’s “funk-ploitation” theme according to their website. For Memorial Day, they’ve got two special brunch items added to the standard incredible menu. Head on over to indulge in the limited edition offerings of crab cake and eggs or a steak and eggs dish of your choice. Or, their normal menu includes green eggs and ham, a fantastic breakfast burrito and more. Their hours are from 8:30 AM to 2 PM for the holiday and while they’ve got a great indoor seating option, the patio is equally as dreamy and perfect for taking in the Monday off.

4. 3rd Coast Cafe
Known as the oldest cafe in Gold Coast, their first location has been around since 1920 while the updated location opened in 1985. For Memorial Day, they’re serving up their famous weekend brunch menu on a Monday. From decked out omelets to Chilaquiles Rojo, to stuffed french toast and much more, this sweet local spot opens at 7 AM and closes at 9 PM. The casual restaurant is a staple for Chicago residents and is known for their great service and kind staff. It’s a fantastic spot to honor the holiday with family and friends.
