Happy Halloween to all who celebrate! If you’re looking for last-minute plans, why not enjoy tricks, treats, and a party on Halsted?
The annual Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade is back for its 28th edition, featuring a free parade, an awards show, live performance, a dance party, and a costume contest with $4,000 in cash prizes.
The free parade, ranked among the top ten in the US by Fodor’s Travel, features a spectacular Costume Contest with hundreds of entrants (registration is free!) and concludes with an awards presentation.

The parade will include exciting attractions such as the Chicago Full Moon Jam fire performers, Windy City Jeep Club, Chicago Thriller, Lakeside Pride Marching Band, The Windy City Rollers, and Chicago Spirit Brigade pep squad.
The costume competition features five categories: Character, Creative, Scary, Youth (<13), and Group. Each category will award prizes of $500, $200, and $100 to the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place winners.
Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun! Registration will be available on-site starting at 6:30 PM, one hour before the parade begins.
