We know it’s not the official start of fall until next week, but we can’t help but get excited for Halloween!
With every department store already filled with costumes and candy, we might as well join the fun and start thinking about what we’re going to wear—especially for the Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Chicago’s favorite parade, and it will be an all-day affair to mark the occasion.
On Saturday, October 31, along Halsted Street between Aldine Avenue and Addison Street, the day will kick off with a block party filled with food, drinks, music, local vendors, live performances, and more.
This block party will lead into Chicago’s only Halloween Night parade, featuring more than 300 costumed participants. The night will end with a costume contest with a total of $4,000 in cash prizes.
The parade will include performances from the Chicago Full Moon Jam fire performers, the Windy City Jeep Club, Chicago Thriller, the Lakeside Pride Marching Band, the Windy City Rollers, and the Chicago Spirit Brigade pep squad.
