Chicago’s largest-ever magic venue The Hand & The Eye is set to finally open in spring 2026—and we finally have a first-look at what the sprawling space has in store.
Located within the historic McCormick Mansion along Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, the massive 35,000-square-foot venue will contain multiple performance spaces connected by winding passageways.
Guests will be able to venture between the different spaces and enjoy close-up magic shows designed to evoke wonder and stimulate the senses.
Along with performances, the venue will feature several bars, lounge areas, and an in-house restaurant.
Developer the Rockwell Group imagines the space designed in gilded age style, paying tribute to the McCormick mansion’s rich history.
Renderings depicts multiple intimate theaters and gathering areas fashioned with lavish antique furnishings and rare artifacts. Each room showcases a unique atmosphere and look.
“It is a once in a lifetime honor to design a building that celebrates Chicago’s contribution to the history of magic and the legacy of the McCormick Mansion,” said developer David Rockwell in a statement.
“In keeping with The Hand & The Eye’s mission, we are designing a wonder- and discovery-filled collection of very special spaces where every detail matters, creating an unforgettable experience.”
