Yes, you can no longer head to the Australia-based Guzman y Gomez. All its U.S. locations, which were exclusively in the Chicago area, have closed. They include a recently opened restaurant in Bucktown and several suburban locations, including Naperville, Schaumburg, Evanston, and Crystal Lake.

According to NBC Chicago, the company said the decision to close was based on U.S. financial performance that has not been acceptable and is not meeting targeted hurdles.
