Chicago’s oldest continually-running jazz club is ringing in its 40th anniversary under the current ownership—and bringing back late night jazz to celebrate.
Starting this month, you can catch a show at the Green Mill in Uptown until the wee hours of the morning.
Here’s all the details.
Late nights at the Green Mill

Beginning Friday, June 19, the Green Mill will host late night jazz shows on Fridays and Saturdays.
Friday will feature the Green Mill Jam Session from 1 a.m. until 3 a.m., and include performances led by local jazz legend Marquis Hill.
Saturday night sets will run from 1 a.m. until 4 a.m. with music by Chicago-based organ trio Righteous Rooster.
The late night cover charge is just $5. While there, be sure to soak up the vintage vibes and grab a classic cocktail at the bar.
