Estelle’s has always been the go-to late-night neighborhood bar since 1999—and now it’s reopened with a completely new look. The refreshed space combines a modern aesthetic with the same welcoming vibe that guests have always loved.
Designed by Barker/Nester Architecture + Design, the remodel features a moody yet inviting atmosphere, complete with black leather banquettes, warm tones, and a dark modern accented by vintage-inspired wallpaper throughout the space.

To celebrate, Estelle’s is hosting a Grand Reopening Celebration on Friday, December 5, kicking off at 4 p.m., featuring their infamous half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
David Halpern, managing partner at Four Entertainment Group:
We wanted to reimagine Estelle’s while staying true to what makes it special. While Wicker Park has evolved over the years, Estelle’s remains one of the few original staples, a testament to its unpretentious, welcoming vibe.
Leading up to the Grand Reopening Party, Estelle’s will host a food drive to benefit Friendship Center Chicago, where a portion of the proceeds from the reopening celebration will also be donated to the charity.
