Godfrey Hotel’s Winter Wonderland And Heated Igloos Have Returned To The River North Rooftop

Sip on seasonal cocktails in your own personal snow globe!

Last year restaurants, bars, and hotels across Chicago scrambled to winterize their outdoor spaces as the global pandemic forced restrictions on indoor dining. Boasting Chicago’s largest indoor-outdoor rooftop with a retractable roof, the Godfrey Hotel in River North offered one of the highlights of last year’s outdoor dining options.

Installing communal booths and signature heated igloos of different sizes the award-winning luxury lifestyle hotel provided guests with a whimsical winter wonderland throughout winter.

This year the winter wonderland has once again returned offering Chicagoans the chance to resume rooftop season into the winter with their snug skyline escape. Thanks to the heated, clear-domed igloos covering the rooftop’s portico, guests can cozy up with a cocktail, s’mores, and sweeping skyline views.

Like last year, there will be frequent fire dancing, live DJs, and unique seasonal snacks all beneath the city lights throughout the winter months. The Windy City might plummet to teeth-chattering temperatures but at the city’s only year-round rooftop lounge guests shelter from the winter elements in style.

Smaller igloos seating up to 6 people must prepay for at least one bottle to secure their reservation whilst reservations for the larger igloo must prepay a deposit of $500 which will then be taken of the final bill. Due to high demand igloos are available for a maximum duration of two hours.

The Godfrey Hotel rooftop is open until 11 pm Monday toFriday and until 9 pm on Sundays. Igloos can be reserved via exploretock.com/iogodfrey/, by calling 312 374 1830 or by emailing info@iogodfrey.com.
