Get your costumes ready for one of the largest Halloween parades in Illinois! Making its grand return this October, Galena’s Main Street will become the spookiest place around.
Now in its 45th year, the Galena Halloween Parade has become a tradition for those looking to do something a little different for Halloween.
Galena’s Halloween Parade features an extraordinary display, with dazzling floats, spectacular costumes, marching bands, prizes, and treats for ‘ghouls’ of all ages. You can even take the kids to the Kids Fest and grab a bite to eat before the parade at the Food Festival.

The 2025 Galena Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Where is the Galena Halloween Parade?
The parade will take place at North Main Street, Galena, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
How do I get to the Galena Halloween Parade?
Shuttles will be available from parking areas to Main Street. They will start running at 3 PM, with the last shuttle departing at 5:30 PM from the Walmart parking lot, located off of US 20, to Downtown Galena.
After the parade, return shuttles will continue operating until 9:15 PM. A round-trip ticket for the shuttle costs $5.00 per person for individuals aged six and above. You will receive a wristband to ride the shuttle.
If you prefer not to use the shuttle, you can access the public parking areas, which may offer both free and paid parking.
