As Chicagoans begin finalizing their to NYE 2025 plans, the CTA and Miller Lite are stepping up to help Chicagoans get to their New Year’s Eve parties safely with the return of the Miller Lite Free Rides program.
From 10pm on New Year’s Eve, until 4am January 1, 2025, Chicagoans can take advantage of free CTA rides.
During these hours, riders won’t be required use their Ventra cards or any other payment method, and signage will be displayed reminding passengers of the program.
Since 1988, the Free Rides program has helped to ensure partygoers get where they’re heading safely and reduce instances of drunk driving.
“The CTA will handle getting Chicagoans to and from their festivities safely so both residents and visitors alike can celebrate responsibly as they countdown to 2025,” said CTA President Dorval R. Carter, Jr., in a statement.
