Watch Free Outdoor Concerts And Movies In Lemont At The Largest Adventure Park In North America

Grab your folding chair and some popcorn, folks.

Throughout the rest of September into early October, The Forge: Lemont Quarries, aka The Largest Outdoor Adventure Park in America, will be holding live outdoor concerts and film screenings at their vast open-air lawn venue. Back in July, The Forge opened in Lemont outside Chicago. To point out its key attraction is hard to say, as the 300-acre action park offers countless opportunities for fun and adventure; whether it’s mountain biking, ropes courses, zip lines, tactical laser tag, yoga classes, kayaking, or an augmented reality escape room, The Forge has it and everything in between.

Recently, the adventure park opened its most recent attraction, outdoor movies and music at The Quarries:

“Our state-of-the-art outdoor venue, The Mount, features a huge lawn area that has been divided into socially distanced squares (4 guest maximum per square) so that our guests can enjoy an outdoor film experience, while ensuring a safe 6-foot distance from others,” The Forge wrote on their website.

Their movie series will begin this Saturday, September 12, with a screening of the original Jurassic Park film at 7 pm, with the next scheduled screening (Pixar’s Coco) taking place Saturday, October 10. Your go-to movie snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from their Refuel Cart. Visitors to the admission-free screenings must wear face masks and bring their own blanket/folding chair if they want to use them. Gates open 30 minutes to the screening, with seating available at first come, first serve basis.

Additionally, The Forge will also be holding live music performances. Using the social-distancing-squares system at the same venue, The Forge will begin holding free outdoor concerts on Saturday, September 19, with a performance by 90s alt-rock tribute band, Alt 101. The following weekend, The Forge will be holding Simmer Down Fest, which will feature performances from a number of reggae DJs as well as a live band. On October 3, Soul Daddy will bring their contemporary, soul, and rock jams to the stage.

Each concert is admission free and operates on a first come, first served basis.
