If you’re waking up as early as 6 AM on some days and staying up until 1 AM other days to watch Max Verstappen battle it out with Lando Norris, you’re not alone. Formula 1 has taken the U.S. by storm, and we’re all on the edge of our seats every week, even a little envious of being in the driver’s seat, if only for a night.
Next month, you’ll actually get the chance to do just that—because the world of Formula 1® is officially coming to Chicago with an F1® Arcade.
Located in the heart of River North, F1® Arcade Chicago will offer guests the opportunity to race on some of the world’s most iconic Formula 1® tracks, including the Las Vegas Strip Circuit and Circuit of the Americas.

Chicago’s first official Formula 1 Arcade finally has an opening date
Opening August 14, the arcade will feature 61 full-motion racing simulators, globally inspired food and cocktails, flexible private event spaces, and the brand’s first-ever rooftop terrace.
Mat Horvath, Chief Executive Officer of F1® Arcade, said:
Chicago has always played an important role in F1 Arcade’s growth as the home of our U.S. headquarters, making this opening especially meaningful for our team.
We’re excited to officially announce our opening date and begin welcoming guests later this summer. From our first-ever rooftop terrace with Chicago-inspired food and beverage offerings to our world-class racing simulators, this venue represents the next evolution of the F1® Arcade experience.
Reservations are now open for simulator racing experiences, located at 1 W. Grand Ave. To celebrate the grand opening, the first 1,000 guests who reserve their spot on the grid will unlock a special introductory ticket price for racing experiences during the venue’s opening month.
