Travelers flying in and out of Chicago were met with major delays Monday as a winter weather system moved through the Windy City.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a ground stop at O’Hare airport early Monday, according to WGN.
While the ground stop has since been lifted, a ground delay is reportedly in effect until 8pm.
Travelers should prepare for significant flight delays, with the FAA estimating an average delay of 2 hours and 11 minutes due to snowy and icy conditions.
According to reports, nearly 200 flights were canceled at O’Hare over the past 24 hours.
At Midway, things looked less bleak Monday morning, with arrival delays around 15 minutes.
