Even 30 years after her death, Selena Quintanilla remains a cultural icon. The artist transformed the music industry and became the first global superstar of Tejano music. Each year, fans come together to celebrate her legacy, and this time is no different.
Milwaukee is hosting the Midwest’s biggest Selena celebration in September
One of the Midwest’s largest Selena celebrations is Fiesta Selena, and it’s happening next month! Located just 1.5 hours from Chicago in Milwaukee, the festival honors the Tex-Mex Queen. It will feature live music, educational presentations, interactive art exhibits, and a variety of delicious food trucks!
Although the schedule is not yet available, here is what last year looked like and what festival-goers can expect:

- 11 AM—Festival Opens
- 11 AM—Queen Selena All-Inclusive Paint Class
- 12 PM—Cana Brava
- 1 PM—Dance Class with Salsabrositas
- 2 PM—Ray Instrument
- 3 PM—Ribbon Cutting
- 4 PM—Lookalike Contest
- 5 PM—Salsabrosita Performance
- 6 PM—Nenes del Lagos
- 7 PM—Talent Competition Hosted by Marbella Sodi
- 8 PM—DJ Alma
In addition to a full day of festivities, the fiesta will also include an all-inclusive paint class inspired by Queen Selena, a talent competition with a $500 prize, a look-alike contest, and more!
The festival will take place on September 20th at The Farmhouse Paint & Sip in Wisconsin.
