The Chicago Bulls are honoring former point guard Derrick Rose, a.k.a “D Rose”, with a new interactive fan experience and appreciation night.
Saturday, January 4 is officially Derrick Rose Night at the United Center, as the Bulls go head to head with the New York Knicks.
The celebration will serve to commemorate Rose’s impressive eight-year career with the Bulls from 2008-2016, as well as his 4 years playing for the Knicks.
Chicago Looks Back on Rose’s NBA Career
During his time on the Bulls, D Rose became the youngest MVP in NBA history at just 22 years old in 2011. Rose announced his retirement from the NBA in 2024.
The Bulls have planned numerous special moments recognizing D-Rose throughout Saturday night’s game.
Players on both the Bulls and the Knicks will wear special jersey’s displaying the numbers 1.4.25.
The numbers represent both the date of the game, and the jersey numbers D Rose wore during his run with the Chicago Bulls, the Knicks, and as a star player at Chicago’s Simeon Career Academy.
Gates will open early at 5pm on Saturday and all fans in attendance will receive a complimentary commemorative D Rose shirt.
