The acclaimed “comic genius of America” Dave Chappelle is on the road again and will be performing across the country from late August to early October.
The comedian and actor will stop in 11 cities for his “Dave Chappelle Live” tour, starting in New York with two performances at Madison Square Garden on August 22 and 23, and finishing his tour at the United Center in Chicago on Wednesday, October 4.
One of the country’s most decorated comedians, Chappelle has received numerous awards for his provocative stand-up including six Emmy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and America’s highest comedy honor the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2019.
His recent 2021 Netflix special “The Closer”, however, was the subject of controversy for his jokes about transgender people and he was in the headlines again in 2022 when he was attacked during a performance at the Netflix Is a Joke festival in Los Angeles.
The “Dave Chappelle Live” tour will also stop in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Tenessee, and Minnesota throughout September
