From Grease to Mean Girls, some absolute classics await in the parking lot adjacent to the ChiTown Futbol facility.
Last year saw a huge rise in drive-in movie theaters around Chicago amid a pandemic that forced widespread closures to the entertainment and hospitality industries. The rebirth of the drive-in theater felt like a journey back in time and city after city followed suit, providing blockbuster movie nights under the stars for friends, families, couples across the country.
Luckily, despite theaters of all kinds gradually opening their doors once again, drive-in movie theaters look set to continue and Pilsen’s ChiTown Movies has released an April schedule full of movie classics!
Situated in a Pilsen parking lot adjacent to the ChiTown Futbol facility at 2343 S. Throop Street, ChiTown Movies outdoor theater began in June last year with two screenings each night. Movie screenings will continue through April on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The enormous screen will light up tonight (April 9), with showings of Grease at 8:00 PM – 9:55 PM and Halloween at 10:15 PM – 11:55 PM.
Tickets cost $33 per car and guests can tune into the film’s audio via radio. There will be concessions available as well as indoor restrooms but face coverings must be used at all times outside of cars. See the schedule below:
