It seems like every weekend, a different Chicago neighborhood is hosting a “taste of” festival–and we’re not mad about it. It’s all the more reason to try new local restaurants, sway to music, and take in all summer has to offer. And this weekend is no different.
The Taste of Lincoln Avenue is back for its 42nd year, featuring five festivals in one! Enjoy whiskey tastings, live bands, the Best of Lincoln Park Cocktail Competition, a kids’ carnival, and a dog parade. The best part is the festival will feature only local restaurants, including Cafe Tola, Tandoor Char House, Paula’s Thai Kitchen, Mercadito, Mazala Pizza, Medi Kitchen & Cocktail, Sapori Trattoria, and Dog Haus Biergarten.
Chicago’s beloved Taste of Lincoln Avenue returns this weekend
On Friday, the Lincoln Park Cocktail Competition will kick off the festival. This event will showcase some of the neighborhood’s most talented bartenders as they compete for the title of Best Cocktail in Lincoln Park. Tickets are available for $30, which includes six cocktails. Click here for tickets.
On Saturday, July 25, from 3 to 5 PM and 6 to 8 PM, visitors can enjoy “Whiskies on Lincoln – A Midwest Tasting Event.” This event celebrates the finest distilleries from the Midwest and is hosted by Delilah’s Chicago.
Also on Saturday, get your pup ready to strut their stuff in the Taste of Lincoln Avenue Dog Parade! Bring your furry friend to the main stage to parade through the festival at 11 AM—it’s FREE! Register your pooch here
The festival will take place from Friday to Sunday, July 24-26, at 2500 N. Lincoln Ave, situated between Fullerton and Wrightwood in the heart of the Lincoln Park/DePaul neighborhood. The hours are as follows: Friday from 4 PM to 10 PM, Saturday from 12 PM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 12 PM to 8 PM.
