Chicago is set for a serious heatwave this weekend, following an extended bout of rainy conditions and spring-like temperatures.
In the lead up to the Weekend, Chicago will see back-to-back days of rainy conditions and highs in the 70s.
Wednesday will bring intermittent showers throughout the day and into the evening, with a 30-60% chance of precipitation.
Thursday will see a high of 73 degrees and a 20% chance of showers, while Friday will bring morning showers and partly sunny conditions later on.

Come Saturday, the skies will finally clear and the thermometer will spike. Expect sunny conditions and a high of 78 degrees.
Sunday is when things really take a turn for the sweltering, with a 10-degree jump for a high of 88 degrees.
The heat will continue into next week, for a high of 93 degrees on Monday, June 30.
