Thriller night is coming to Chicago this Halloween—and you can be a part of the action!
A massive flash mob inspired by Michael Jackson’s iconic 1982 hit single will take over the Northalsted neighborhood and registration is open now.
Here’s everything to know about the event and where to sign up.
Thriller flash mob 2026

Chicago Thriller has brought together hundreds of local performers in an annual enactment of the famous Thriller music video and dance for more than 10 years.
The event is part of the larger Halloween on Halsted Parade, drawing massive crowds for a night of dancing, live music, and spooky fun.
This year, Chicagoans can get in on all the fun by joining the flash mob themselves.
Participants will learn the original choreography from the Thriller music video over a series of group rehearsals. Dancers are required to attend at least 3 rehearsals.
Then, on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, dancers will take to the street and bring the magic of Thriller to life.
Participation costs $85 per person. Click here to register and learn more information.
