The annual Chicago Pride Parade is back for its 54th edition this June, and organizers have finally announced this year’s theme!
Here’s everything to know about the parade and Pride Month events in Chicago for 2025.
What is this year’s Chicago Pride Parade theme?
This year’s Chicago Pride Parade theme is “United in Pride.”
“‘United in Pride’ highlights the power of coming together, embracing our diversity, and championing love and equality as one united force,” reads the Chicago Pride website.
When is the Chicago Pride Parade?
The official Chicago Pride Parade takes place on Sunday, June 29, at noon.
Where does the Chicago Pride Parade begin?
The parade will kick off at the corner of Sheridan and Broadway in Chicago’s historic LGBTQ+ Northalsted neighborhood, formerly known as Boystown.
From there, it travels a 20-block route south on Broadway, continues along Halsted, then heads east on Belmont. The parade loops back south on Broadway before concluding at Cannon Drive near Diversey.
When is Chicago Pride Fest?
Pride Month in Chicago wouldn’t be complete without Chicago Pride Fest, a two-day street festival running from June 21-22, leading up to the parade.
The festival features live music, drag performances, dance exhibitions, a pet parade, guest speakers, and more than 150 food and merchandise vendors.
Are the Chicago Pride Parade and Chicago Pride Fest free to attend?
Both events are free to attend, though Chicago Pride Fest suggests a $15 donation to support festival staff, performers, local nonprofits, and community organizations.
