The New York Times just released its roundup of 41 of the Greatest Mexican Restaurants Across the United States, with three Chicago eateries making the cut.

Mi Tocaya Antojería
First among the Chicago highlights is Mi Tocaya Antojería in Logan Square.
The neighborhood gem has been serving up elevated Mexican fare to rave reviews for nearly a decade.
Mi Tocaya’s menu features creative spins on traditional latin dishes, with crowd favorites including the steak burrito, quesofundido, and duck carnitas.
Gorditas Santiago
Next on the list is South Side staple Gorditas Santiago. This no-frills Mexican joint offers ultra-stuffed gorditas, a traditional Mexican dish similar to a sandwich or pita wrap.
