Winter got off to a relatively quiet start in Chicago, but it seems things are finally starting to pick up.
Following Wednesday’s storm, Chicago is gearing up for another bout of snow just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Friday evening will be a cold and snowy holiday in the Windy City. The National Weather Service predicts a 100% chance of precipitation until 3am Saturday, with accumulation of up to 3 inches possible.
Further snowfall could come Saturday evening and Sunday.
The winter weather doesn’t end there—next week the brutal cold is making a comeback in Chicago.
The high for President’s Day will reach a meager 7 degrees, plunging to a low of -2 come nighttime. Temperatures will remain in the single digits and teens into the middle of the week.
Long story short—keep your snow shovel and your winter coat handy, winter isn’t going anywhere soon!
