A frost advisory was in effect this morning across many Chicago suburbs, and this is just the beginning. Expect wind gusts to increase throughout the day, reaching speeds of up to 20 miles per hour.
Although the forecasted high temperature today is 53 degrees, it will feel much cooler.
Freezing temperatures are expected in Chicago
According to the National Weather Service, more frost and freezing temperatures are expected tonight through Friday morning.
NBC Chicago reported that at 1 a.m. Friday, a freeze warning will go into effect for nearly the entire Chicago area.
Some frost is possible near the lake, mainly away from downtown Chicago.
