An all-new art fair is coming to the iconic Merchandise Mart (the Mart) this October in Chicago, bringing together dozens of galleries and artists in a sprawling, four-day exhibition.
Here’s an inside look at everything in store.
Chicago Art Fair at the Mart
The inaugural Chicago Art Fair is taking over the Mart from October 7–10, featuring a variety of exhibiting galleries from across the globe.
Visitors can expect a variety of contemporary art displays, ranging from paintings to sculptures, photography, glasswork, installations, and more.
The fair will also present an opportunity for art buyers to meet creators and gallerists in person, hear live artist talks, and purchase work.

“Chicago has an incredibly engaged arts community, and we’re excited to bring together a group of galleries that reflects both the strength of the city’s own cultural landscape and the breadth of the larger art world,” said George Billis, Exhibition Manager at Chicago Art Fair.
“Our goal is to create an environment that encourages discovery and conversation, where guests can connect directly with galleries, learn more about the artists and works they represent, and ultimately find art that resonates with them.”
