DIPNDIVE’s ranking considered factors like weather, friendliness, cost of living, lodging, and overall safety. Chicago stood out in particular for its abundance of free attractions, making it an ideal destination for budget-conscious travelers.
From snapping a selfie at The Bean to wandering through the Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago offers more than 200 free and affordable cultural experiences, according to Time Out.
