Throw an ‘L’ of a party on a CTA train.
There is no shortage of great venues in Chicago, ranging from iconic clubs to dance the night away to intimate settings to tie the knot.
We’re truly spoilt with an eclectic mix of spots offering skyline views, lakefront landscapes, and lush green surroundings, but for those extra passionate Chicago aficionados, there is a unique venue you may not know about that celebrates the Windy City with an ever-changing view of its many wonderful features.
Chicago Transit Authority’s world-famous ‘L’ trains can be chartered for personal parties, events, or group excursions, providing one of the city’s most unique and iconic venues.
Trains comfortably hold up to 35 people and are available for chartering any time except weekday rush hours between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 3 a.m. and 6 p.m.
This is no decommissioned, beat-up, stationary CTA train deal. Guests can enjoy a typical journey through Chicago, from the Downtown Loop through Chicago’s unique neighborhoods to the outer reaches of the city and back, meaning the limits of the venue become the limits of the city itself.
Food, non-alcoholic beverages, decorations, battery-operated sound systems, and live music are all permitted, and prices start at around $3,000, “depending on the size and length of the event.”
