The Viagra Triangle on Rush Street has undergone significant changes in recent years. First, Tavern on Rush unexpectedly closed, making way for a new establishment, Bellevue. Then, Nico’s Osteria shut down, and Tavern on Rush reopened, once again, across from Marino Park.
During this time, Carmine’s was also undergoing renovations, receiving a much-needed facelift. It seemed like things would never return to how they used to be, and we would be stuck in a state of nostalgia forever. However, we are happy to report that the Viagra Triangle is starting to regain a sense of normalcy. Carmine’s, the beloved Italian restaurant, is finally set to reopen in the Gold Coast.
After a multi-million dollar renovation, the newly refurbished restaurant has a stunning new look and an upgraded dining experience.
The new one-floor layout features indoor dining, a new private dining room, indoor and outdoor bars, and expansive terrace space in a modernized space designed to establish an ambiance that blends sophistication and comfort.
One of the standout features of the renovation is the elevated terrace bar overlooking Rush Street—one of the few second-floor terraces in the area. This chic open-air space features a sleek marble bar, high-top seating, and a modern pergola with warm overhead lighting.
Alex Dana, owner of Rosebud Restaurants, said:
Carmine’s has always been a Gold Coast staple, and this renovation ensures we’ll remain a part of the neighborhood for years to come. For 50 years, the Rosebud family has been at the heart of our success, and as we continue to grow—including our expansion into Boca Raton with the opening of Mia Rosebud—we remain committed to delivering the same exceptional dining experience that has defined us since 1974.
What date will Carmine’s reopen?
While there is no exact date, it seems the reopening will be happening in late March or early April.
