The Metra holiday train and CTA holiday train schedules are out, but did you know there’s a third holiday train making its way through Chicago this Christmas season?
The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPCK) holiday train is rolling through the Chicago suburbs on two dates this holiday season, bringing Christmas cheer and live musical performances with it.

All about the 2025 Canadian Pacific holiday train

The CPKC holiday train, now in its 27th year of operation, is a beloved tradition spanning cities across the U.S. and Canada.
The train will begin its journey towards Chicago on November 19, setting off from Montreal according to a release.
The first Chicago-area stop is Sunday, November 23, from 5:30 – 6 p.m. in nearby Franklin Park, IL. Spectators will enjoy live musical performances from Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde.
The CPKC train will make one more stop later in the holiday season on Tuesday, December 9 in Gurnee Illinois. The second Chicago-area stop will feature live musical performances from American Authors and Pynk Beard.
