When it comes to Chicago food, one likely thinks of Deep Dish and hot dogs.
But bagels? Not so much.
Well one Washington D.C.-based company is looking to change that—viral bagel chain Call Your Mother is bringing its signature sandwiches, sweets, and coffee creations to Chicago in 2026.
Here’s a look at what to expect.
What’s on the menu

The brainchild of chef duo Daniela Moreira and Andrew Dana, Call Your Mother launched its flagship D.C. store in 2018. The shop has since grown a dedicated following and expanded its footprint to Maryland and Denver, CO.
Call Your Mother’s signatures include stacked bagel sandwiches like the cheese steak-esque “Jetski” with brisket and cheddar, and the sushi-inspired “Hidden Cove” with smoked salmon and avocado.
Pair any sandwich with a savory side of crispy potato latke chips served with sour cream and apple jam.

The shop also offers sweet treats like a fresh-baked carrot cake cookie with cream cheese frosting for dipping, and babka muffins in chocolate or cinnamon roll flavors.
On the beverage front, guests can expect all their favorites like specialty coffee, matcha, and chai creations.
Opening timeline
Call Your Mother’s first Chicago outpost will open at 1615 N. Damen Avenue in spring 2026, according to Eater. Any exact opening date will be announced in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!
