Brookfield Zoo unveils new Macaw habitat

Guests can now visit the Brookfield Zoo’s Macaws in their state-of-the-art new habitat.
Located in the zoo’s southwest corner, the new Macaw exhibit features hand-designed palm trees and a mural, creating an immersive environment for the feathered friends.
Seven birds will now call the habitat home, representing four species of Macaws: hyacinth, blue-and-yellow, blue-throated and scarlet.

Visitors can expect to see the birds using their strong beaks to crack tough-shelled nuts and showcasing their impressive wingspans up to 4 feet in length.
The old Macaw exhibit at Brookfield Zoo is being converted into a habitat for Komodo dragons, coming this summer.
