Books4Cause Uptown launches Saturday
Books4Cause is Chicago’s first free bookstore, founded by local artist Jaysen Lifchitz in Avondale in 2020.
Now, the shop is expanding its footprint with a new outpost in Uptown at 1226 W Wilson Ave.
The store will host a grand opening on Saturday, July 11, beginning at 10 a.m.
Guests can explore all their favorite titles from timeless classics to contemporary best sellers, and take home whatever title resonates.
Visitors are also encouraged to support Books4Cause by bringing donations of their own.
The store accepts CDs, DVDs, vinyl, comics, video games, and collectibles, in addition to books.
