Parts of Chicagoland are under a rare blowing dust advisory ahead of severe storms set to impact the region tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a blowing dust advisory for parts of Chicagoland until 6 p.m. Monday.
The advisory impacts portions of Southwest Chicagoland including Kendall and Grundy counties, along with Northwest Indiana.
The advisory predicts areas of blowing dust with visibility as low as one quarter of a mile, creating dangerous road conditions.
