There are dream jobs and then there are magical jobs.
Calling all Potterheads—muggles, mudbloods, and magic folk can now apply to the ultimate quarantine gig, binge watching the Harry Potter series! Edsmart, an independent college review journal, is offering five lucky social media wizards $1,000 to sit through a complete movie marathon of all eight films in the original saga (from the Sorcerer’s Stone to Deathly Hallows: Part 2) as well as the two Fantastic Beasts films; live-tweeting content along the way.
In total, the 10 movies amount to 25 hours and 6 minutes of watch time, which would equal an hourly rate of $41.50!
In addition to the $1,000, you’ll also receive their Harry Potter Marathon Survival Kit which includes a Harry Potter Gryffindor snuggie, a $100 GrubHub giftcard, and Hogwarts Alumni Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler, among other items.
Those interested in landing the best job ever (which is made even easier by our self-isolation predicament) must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States. The job request states:
“The person we’re looking for is not only a Harry Potter fan, but also an active, outgoing social media personality who would be thrilled to live-tweet or live stream their Harry Potter & Fantastic Beasts movie marathon experience while tagging @getedsmart and/or #getedsmart.”
If you fit the bill, fly over to their website to fill out a short application by Friday, May 15. Once the applications are in, the Sorting Hat will choose the 5 winners!
