This year, there are many Easter events taking place in the city; however, nothing excites kids quite like an Easter egg hunt. As experts on happenings in Chicago, we’ve compiled a list of the best Easter egg hunts in the city for this year.
Chicago’s favorite Easter egg hunts return this weekend
GNCS Easter Egg Hunt 2026
Head to a community egg hunt in Glenview New Church School, where over 8,000 eggs will be scattered across 26 acres of campus. Enjoy bunny photo opportunities, golden eggs with prizes, snacks, raffles, and a giant bubble show. Tickets are $12.50 per child; adults do not need tickets.

Elmhurst Park District Egg Hunt
This free event, hosted by the Elmhurst Park District, features two time slots and will be held rain or shine. Children ages 2-10 can hunt for prize-filled eggs, while food trucks and yard games enhance the morning; registration is required at epd.org.

Blackberry Farm Egg Hunt
The Fox Valley Park District is hosting an egg hunt at Blackberry Farm in Aurora. Plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes will be divided across three age groups:
- Ages 2 and under: 10:10 a.m.
- Ages 3-5: 10:35 a.m.
- Ages 6 and up: 10:55 a.m.

Spring Egg-Stravaganza
Hop on over to Lincoln Park Zoo for the return of the Spring Egg-Stravaganza. Children ages 1-8 can gather colorful eggs, take photos with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy musical entertainment.
The egg hunt features six distinct zones with varying difficulty levels and potential animal spectators. With timed-entry tickets, participants can enjoy the event at their own pace.

Unity Park Easter Egg Hunt
The Unity Park Advisory Council, along with St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and Grace Church Logan Square, is hosting an egg hunt for kids of all ages at Unity Park. There will be four sessions of the egg hunt, occurring every half-hour. Kids can trade in eggs for toys and candy, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny will be included.
