The survey from Quantrell Volvo collected data from more than 3,000 drivers to determine which U.S. commutes standout from the rest.
Evanston to Chicago via DuSable Lake Shore Drive ranked as the best commute overall in Illinois. Drivers noted the scenic views of Lake Michigan, historic mansions, and Chicago landmarks like Navy Pier as a major draw.
Several other Illinois commutes featured in the study, including Naperville to Chicago via I-88 and I-290, along with Springfield to Decatur via US-36 and I-72.
