The 15th annual Roscoe Village Burger Festival took place this past weekend, bringing together 10 Chicago restaurants to compete for the title of Chicago’s Best Burger. The three-day festival was filled with two stages of live performances, arts and crafts, and a family-fun Kids Zone, the annual competition was a sizzling success.
Burger contestants ranged from Byron’s Hot Dogs, Epic Burger, and The StopAlong, to Fatso’s Last Stand, Reggies Chicago, Tandoor Char House, and more. Presented by the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, attendees enjoyed live music, delicious food, and fierce competition. The event was free for all to enjoy, with a suggested $10 donation benefiting the Chamber of Commerce.
The award for Critic’s Choice of the best burger was officially announced at 7 PM on Saturday, while the people’s choice award was announced Sunday at 5:30 PM. As for who won?
The title of Chicago’s Best Burger goes to The StopAlong. They won in both categories, taking home the title for People Choice and Critics Choice alike!
Last year, Houndstooth Saloon won the people’s choice, while Reggie’s Chicago won the critic’s choice. It seems like The StopAlong was the all around best burger this year. The neighborhood spot (located at 1812 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647) is known for its great food, amazing burgers, and its motto of embracing the kid in all of us. Congrats! Now, who’s hungry for a burger?
