Memorial Day is just around the corner, signaling the official kick-off to summer, and what better way to celebrate than with Mayfestiversary, the ultimate block party happening next weekend.
Hosted by Begyle Brewing and Dovetail Brewery, the 10th annual Mayfestiversary will be held in Ravenswood at the intersection of Ravenswood and Belle Plaine Avenues.

The two breweries have cemented themselves as must-visit spots. Of course, there will be plenty of beer to sample—more than 60 different craft beers (to be exact ) will be poured throughout the weekend. As a special treat, Dovetail Brewery will unveil a unique 10th Anniversary Lager alongside its seasonal favorite, Maibock, to commemorate ten years.
Festival-goers can treat themselves to food from over 10 local food vendors, including selections from Backlot Coffee, Barry Sweets, Beard & Belly, Bad Johnny’s, El Zorro Tacos, Happy Lobster, Mac Dynamite, Soul & Smoke, The Fat Shallot, and Yum Dum.
If you’re not into food and beer? Then stay for the music. More than 24 local acts grace two stages throughout the weekend. On Saturday, the Main Stage lineup features local favorites such as Alpine Thunder, Time Thieves, Brandon Good, Midwest Blender Company, Punk’d, and Reality Bytes.
Sunday’s Main Stage will continue with performances by Sweet Kay String Band, Dr. Goldfoot & The Bikini Machine, Marina City, The Alright Maybes, and Yacht Rock-ettes.
And don’t worry if you have kids or dogs—you can bring them!
Morning programming will entertain young ones, starting with Wiggleworms music sessions led by Anne-Marie Akin on Saturday and Nathan Kistler on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Additional activities include balloon-animal creations, coloring stations, and fun skeeball games, ensuring children will have the best time.
While admission to the festival is free, organizers kindly suggest a $5 donation upon entry. These contributions will support The Friendship Center, a local food pantry that has been operating on the Northwest side since 1969. Every dollar donated translates to 40 meals for area residents in need.

Saturday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, May 24, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
