Home to some of the best museums in the world, an art scene that is constantly innovating, and exclusive events in their thousands, there is certainly no shortage of creative expression in Chicago.
The latest exhibition currently being composed in the West Loop’s Warehouse District, called Artopia, transcends the ordinary and offers creativity as you’ve never seen it before.
Within the 32,000 square feet expanse of Morgan Manufacturing, a fusion of art in all forms is currently unraveling. A future-forward exhibition, Artopia is bringing a month of kaleidoscopic immersion to Chicago this April blending the creativity of renowned artists with the wonders of modern technology.
The exhibit will feature an amalgamation of cutting-edge installations including interactive projection mapping, sound-reactive LEDs, large-scale light art, and holographic fan technology.
Eight large-scale sculptural works and 20 mesmerizing murals from some of Chicago’s most talented street artists will harmonize various art forms providing a diverse and multi-dimensional experience.
The industrial elegance of Morgan Manufacturing’s historic walls has long been used to host all kinds of events from the formal to the flamboyant. Artopia will bring a never-before-seen curation of avant-garde interactive technology and art in its rawest form to the world-class West Loop venue.
Running from Saturday, April 17, until Saturday, May 15th, Artopia will be open Thursday through Sunday every week. The hour-long experience offers a self-guided tour through the venue as well as craft cocktails with which to relish and reflect after the tour.
The innovative exhibition promises Instagrammable photo opportunities whilst also offering impactful installations that will influence and inspire.
To make sure Artopia is as safe as possible for all involved, there will be a mandatory mask requirement, hand sanitizers in every room, and a one-way system. Each room will also have a 50 person capacity and there will be a limit of 100 guests in the venue at any given time.
Artopia opens at 401 North Morgan Street on April 17. Tickets will be released on Wednesday (April 7) at noon, but you can sign up on the waitlist here to be the first to know!
