West Loop’s immersive art exhibit will close on June 20.
We’ve been treated to a wide variety of unique exhibitions in Chicago since the turn of the year. The works of famous artists, the pursuits of iconic individuals, and deep dives into some of the world’s most successful franchises have all been at our fingertips. It has been nearly two months since the 32,000 square feet expanse of Morgan Manufacturing was redesigned as the future-forward, cutting-edge immersive experience called Artopia.
Breaking away from the norm, the exhibition, located in West Loop’s Warehouse District, has wowed nearly 18,000 visitors since opening on April 16. Blending an array of innovative art forms the interactive exhibition has been hosting after-hours burlesque specials, bottomless brunches, theatrical performances, and yoga sessions within the expansive and historic world-class space.
Now, the popular experience is entering its final week before it closes for good on Sunday, June 20 and a limited number of tickets remain.
With efficient health and safety precautions, Artopia invites guests to a hands-free, multi-dimensional, journey utilizing digital displays and interactive technology that makes it as safe as it is mind-blowing.
Sound-reactive LEDs, large-scale light art, holographic fan technology, and interactive projection mapping provide futuristic synergy whilst 8 large-scale sculptures and 20 murals harmonize the authentic with the avant-garde.
Artopia’s amalgamation of art forms was initially only sticking around for one month but due to popularity dates were extended until June 6 and tickets are selling fast for the final days.
Admission starts at $30 granting guests a one-hour-long journey through Artopia while an upgrade to the VIP Access Tickets come with a specialty cocktail in The Artopia Lounge afterward. ICON Access tickets are also available, offering the full package of entry, a specialty cocktail, and an exclusive Artopia T-shirt.
In addition to the hands-free nature of the experience, a one-way system, mandatory mask requirement, and a limited capacity further ensure Artopia is as safe as possible for all involved.
Artopia After Dark: Burlesque, Cocktails & More on Friday and Saturday nights offer the chance to experience special cabaret-style shows, burlesque performances, and live DJs in Artopia Lounge’s cabaret setting.
