Ann Sather, the historic Swedish restaurant in Chicago known for its beloved cinnamon rolls, has opened a new flagship location after officially closing its Lakeview branch at the end of June.
Locals rejoice as 81-year-old Chicago icon Ann Sather reopens in Wicker Park
Owner Tom Tunney shut down the last Belmont Avenue location after 81 years in Lakeview, leaving long-time visitors heartbroken. However, you can now rejoice at the reopening of Ann Sather in Wicker Park.
The new Ann Sather has taken over the former site of a Yolk restaurant located at 1819 W. Division St., which closed last year. You will be pleased to know that the Wicker Park location will continue to serve breakfast and lunch with the restaurant’s standard menu, including the famous cinnamon rolls.
Ann Sather also operates two other restaurants at 3415 N. Broadway and 1147 W. Granville Ave.
