We all adore a getaway to Europe. I mean, who doesn’t? From the scintillating beaches and historic architecture to the diverse culinary scene and electric nightlife. Nevertheless, one obstacle we face when choosing our next European travel destination is the absence of direct flights.
If you’ve ever tried to travel from Chicago to Madrid with American Airlines, you probably had a long and stressful travel day because there are no nonstop flights between the two cities. With a layover comes inevitable delayed flights, which either cause you to sprint through unknown airports or sleep clumsy on a stiff chair while waiting for information about boarding.
Fortunately, this is about to change next year. American Airlines will connect its hub in Chicago (ORD) with Madrid for the first time, beginning in 2025. Daily service will start on March 30, allowing customers to expand their travel options with a seamless flight experience.
Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, said,
We look forward to providing customers with more ways to visit their favorite European destinations next summer.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting on September 9 on aa.com and the American mobile app.
