Get lost in various immersive illuminated worlds.
As Christmas beckons our beloved seasonal events have started returning, providing us all with a shining light during the Midwest’s notoriously mean winter. Already home to a handful of returning light shows and Christmas pop-ups, the new AMAZE Light Festival is coming back bigger and better after debuting inside Rosemont’s Impact Field stadium last season.
This time the immersive holiday universe is filling the expansive Odyssey Fun World in Tinley Park with “sparkle, music, food, dance, celebration, and wonder” starting this Friday, November 18th.
Delighting people of all ages, AMAZE is pure holiday magic featuring a million twinkling lights inside various themed worlds. Guests can take in the wonder on a train ride, browse Sparky’s Sweet Shop or Zing’s Toyporium, and meet the lovable characters, Zing and Sparky, from the Amaze storybook, who bring the stage dancers, singers, and light show to life with their magic powers.
There will also be a holiday market selling handmade, artisan, one-of-a-kind gifts, and a Santa’s Workshop where kids can unleash their creativity on gigantic Light Brites or send off customized letters to Santa.
For thrill-seeking guests, AMAZE will be bringing back its exhilarating icy “Thrill Hill” tubing slide where friends and family can race down icy slopes on single and double tubes.
According to the AMAZE Light Festival website Sparky’s Sweet Spot will offer guests a magical candy shop with sweet treats that make mouths water and eyes pop!” There will be larger-than-life lollipops, rainbow gumdrop ceilings, and shimmering sugar trees amongst other mouth-watering treats.
Zing’s Toyporiumn meanwhile will reportedly offer a place for children to create their very own toys using the largest toy machine ever seen. For every toy made, one will be donated.
Various local food trucks will be situated throughout the AMAZE Light Festival providing guests with a wide variety of holiday-themed snacks and cocktails.
Every night at 5 pm, 7 pm & 9 pm live singers, original songs, and dance numbers will take to the stage for the Amaze Stage Show display with loveable characters, Zing and Sparky.
AMAZE Light Festival will run on select dates from Friday, November 18, 2022, through Sunday, January 8, 2023. Admission costs $36 for adults and $30 for children aged 2 to 13 while children under 2 can enter for free.
