Immerse yourself in holiday magic at AMAZE Light Festival!
As Christmas beckons our beloved seasonal events have started up, providing us all with a shining light during the Midwest’s notoriously mean winter. Already home to a handful of returning light shows and Christmas pop-ups, an exciting all-new lights festival is debuting inside Rosemont’s Impact Field stadium this season.
Whilst other light shows at Morton Arboretum or Chicago Botanic Garden offer after-hours trails through woodlands or drive-thru events, Rosemont’s new AMAZE Light Festival offers the magic of walking through millions of animated lights combined with an array of exhilarating attractions and activities.
Delighting people of all ages, AMAZE is pure holiday magic featuring train rides, a holiday market, a candy shop, a Santa’s Workshop and a “Thrill Hill” tubing slide where friends and family can race down icy slopes on single and double tubes.
As well as Santa meet and greets, at Santa’s Workshop guests are invited to ride on illuminated seesaws, unleash their creativity on gigantic Light Brites, and send off customized letters to Santa.
Seven theme-based illuminated worlds offer a variety of different adventures and plenty of memorable photo opportunities. Bundle up and explore the different realms ranging from the company of elves in the North Pole to the smell of fresh pine at the Tree Farm.
Ride on the ‘Thrill Hill’ through glittering willow trees and reindeer at the Whimsical Forest. Stroll through a royal castle and make a wish at the magical fountain in Storybook Village. Or meander through a land of candy canes, cupcakes, and macarons at Sparky’s Land of Sweets.
Oh, and of course there’s a free ride on the Arctic Express for both kids and adults waiting to take passengers past the biggest snowman in the land!
Transforming the 6,300-seat stadium and home of the Chicago Dogs, Impact Field will be overflowing with holiday fun through January 2, 2022, offering Chicagoans the ultimate holiday destination and a refreshing new Christmas experience.
“Guests will be able to find all their favorite holiday traditions under one roof at AMAZE Light Festival at Impact Field,” said Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens. “We are thrilled to bring one of the largest winter festivals in the United States to Rosemont and truly AMAZE guests from across the region with spectacular holiday light displays alongside activities for all ages.”
Tickets to the AMAZE Light Festival are $23 for adults and $18 for children aged 2-12 and can be purchased online at www.amazerosemont.com. Visits to Santa’s Workshop are included in general admission and must be reserved in advance when purchasing tickets. Other experiences such as tubing down “Thrill Hill” will cost a little extra at $20 per person for unlimited rides.
If you’re tempted to go all out for Christmas, VIP Tickets priced at $34 per person allow premier light show viewings and access to the VIP tent “Leinie Lodge” whilst Platinum Tickets costing $85 invite guests to enjoy Impact Field’s “Rivers Stadium Club” complete with an all-inclusive premium buffet including beer, wine, and soda.
The AMAZE Light Festival is just a 20-minute drive from Chicago’s Loop or guests can hop on a free shuttle from the CTA Blue Line Rosemont Stop. Pace Route 811-Rosemont Entertainment Circulator.
