Berenjak, the award-winning Persian restaurant founded in London by chef Kian Samyani, has made its way to Chicago—and its new home inside Soho House is open to the public.
London’s acclaimed Berenjak arrives in Chicago
The restaurant opened this fall inside the historic 1908 Allis Building on North Green Street, marking its second publicly accessible U.S. location after Soho Warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles.
Inspired by Tehran’s neighborhood kabab houses, Berenjak brings a generous, sharing-focused approach to the table. The concept draws on Samyani’s childhood trips to Iran and family recipes, reimagining traditional Persian flavors for a modern restaurant setting.
A taste of Tehran in Fulton Market
On the Chicago menu, expect coal-grilled kababs, boldly spiced mazeh plates, and traditional drinks like sharbat and doogh, alongside an extensive wine list. In other words, this is a spot to gather your friends and order a little of everything.

The drinks menu gives Chicagoans something new to raise a glass to, with cocktails making their debut on this side of the Atlantic.
Among them is the Olive Leaf Martini, made with gin distilled using real olive leaves. There’s also the Phel Phel Margarita—a Persian-inspired take on Soho House’s signature Picante, finished with house-made syrup and torshi salt.
No membership required
Berenjak comes from JKS Restaurants, the group behind Gymkhana, Hoppers, and Brigadiers, in partnership with Soho House.
Chicago marks its fourth Soho House collaboration globally, joining locations at Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles, Soho Farmhouse in the U.K., and DUMBO House in New York. But unlike the member-facing residencies at Farmhouse and DUMBO House, the Fulton Market restaurant welcomes everyone—no Soho House membership necessary.
Reservations are available through Berenjak’s website, and walk-ins are welcome.
The restaurant is located at 113–125 N Green Street, Chicago, IL 60607.
