It’s not often that cat owners get to take their furry friend out of the house to explore with other fur babies the way dog owners do.
But this October in Chicago, all that will change—a Halloween-themed “cat tour” and block party is coming to the North Side!
Here’s everything to know about the event and where to sign up.
Chicago Halloween Cat Tour 2026
Chicago Cat Tours is hosting a special Halloween event on Saturday, October 10 in the Bowmanville neighborhood on the far North Side.
Cat tours are neighborhood walk events where participants stroll along a designated route, greeting local cats from porches, front windows, and yards.
The Bowmanville tour next month will feature dozens of adorable cats decked out in Halloween costumes, plus a neighborhood block party following the walk.
Bowmanville-based cat owners can sign up now to join the route.
Dozens of local cats are already on the bill, according to Chicago Cat Tour’s Facebook page, including Bowmanville feline residents “Professor Meatloaf” and “Mr. Flufflepants.”
While the tour is limited to Bowmanville, cat owners and enthusiasts from across the city are welcome to attend the event.
Interested cat owners must register by Wednesday, September 30. Learn more and sign up here.
