Fall is in the air at Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo, and there’s no shortage of free fun to be had this season!
From a new monkey resident you can visit to the return of the annual Fall Fest, here’s a look at what’s new at the zoo for fall 2026!
Meet the LP Zoo’s new Bolivian gray titi monkey

The Lincoln Park Zoo recently welcomed a new friend into its adorable animal family—a 14-year-old Bolivian gray titi monkey named Tacama.
The cuddly critter has been settling into her new shared habitat and bonding with her male counterpart, 14-year-old Ocho.
The two monkeys have been observed curling their tails together in a motion known as “twining.” This is a sign that the creatures have formed a social bond—much like how humans hold hands.
Zoogoers can visit Tacama and Ocho at the Helen Brach Primate House this fall.
Fall Fest now through November

If a visit with cuddling monkeys wasn’t fun enough, the LP Zoo’s annual Fall Fest is also back now through November 1.
Chicagoans can enjoy fall festivities including s’mores roasting, pumpkin carving, live music and entertainment, carnival rides, and tasty fall treats.
Festival entrance is free, with certain add-ons and special events requiring tickets.
